SWISS's first Airbus A350 landed at 3:25 p.m. on runway 16 and has arrived at Zurich Airport, its future home base.

After the traditional water salute by the airport fire department, the newest member of the Swiss fleet introduced itself to the many spectators on the visitors' terrace before taxiing out to its parking space at gate B38.

In the coming weeks, the aircraft will undergo technical checks, training flights and initial short-haul flights later in October, before gradually entering long-haul service from 20 November.
