Parts of Landvetter Airport had to be evacuated this afternoon.

This was after someone spotted a suspicious object in the check-in hall – a thermos flask left on a bench.

- The guards began to cordon off and evacuate the area. We called in a large number of resources, including the bomb squad, says Helene Ramsmo, police spokesperson.

She is not sure if more areas than the check-in hall were evacuated before the alarm was called off.

It turned out to be a regular thermos of coffee that someone had left behind.

– We are reminding people to keep track of their gadgets and belongings at the airport, says Ramsmo.,
