Embracer CEO and principal owner Lars Wingefors starts an airline, reports P4 Värmland. Sola Air will operate from Karlstad Airport and serve Arlanda and Kastrup in Copenhagen.

”"We in Värmland need to be able to get out into the world and the world needs to be able to get to Värmland," Lars Wingefors tells the radio.

The entrepreneur, whose company Embracer has its headquarters in Karlstad, says it has noticed a great need for new flight routes to and from Värmland.

According to the radio, he has purchased four planes and hopes to start daily flights to both capitals in March next year. Regular flights from Karlstad have previously had difficulty reaching profitability, something that Wingefors says he is taking into account.

”"I'm prepared to take losses for a few years, but over time I want more Värmland residents, companies and organizations to use this so we can break even and maybe make a little profit."’
