The work to find new homes for the animals began in the spring and soon sharks, frogs, piranhas, rays and seahorses will find new homes. On the last weekend, all children are invited to face painting and all entrance proceeds will be donated in full to the World Wildlife Fund's "Living Oceans" project.

Aquaria Water Museum opened in 1991 and has been both a water museum and a restaurant for 27 years. The property was built in the 1960s as a temporary exhibition building in connection with the salvage of the Vasa ship, but has been the Aquaria Water Museum since 1991. The museum has housed, among other things, a tropical rainforest, which has had a negative impact on the property. At the end of last year, the difficult decision was made to close the operation, as the property is in such poor condition that it needs to be demolished. Now the museum's last week begins before closing for good on September 30 at 4:30 p.m.
