Remove

After intensive negotiations, the parties have reached an agreement and the laundry strike in Mallorca has been called off.

It reports Mallorca Newspaper.

The news is described as pleasing for the island's hotel tourists who are no longer threatened by a shortage of clean sheets and towels.

The laundries chose to call off the strike after the union succeeded in pushing through wage increases.

According to the new agreement, employees will also be entitled to a 15-minute daily break and two days off per week – starting in 2024.
