More and more people are flying to – and from – Copenhagen Airport. In August alone, 2.9 million people passed through the airport.

Compared to the same month last year, this is an increase of 5.2 percent or just over 140,000 travelers.

The number of both domestic and European travelers is increasing, however, the largest increase in travelers is seen on intercontinental flights, where the number of travelers has increased by 15.9 percent compared to August last year.

”"In recent years, a number of new destinations have emerged and these are the ones we are seeing the effect of now," says CEO Thomas Woldbye in a press release.

London tops the list as the most popular destination, with Oslo and Stockholm coming in second and third place. So far this year, more than 20.5 million people have passed through the airport.
