The sports holidays have started and many are planning days on the ski slopes. But skiing downhill costs a lot. SVT has found out what a week's lift pass costs for an entire family at the two major ski resorts of Sälen and Åre.

Comparing ski pass prices can be difficult as prices can vary from week to week. SVT has looked at what a family might pay for a week's ski pass during the sports holidays.

In six years, the family ski pass has become just over 40 percent more expensive in Sälen and 36 percent more expensive in Åre. Compared to the average price trend, the Consumer Price Index, this is a significant increase.
