In January, the tour operator Lion Alpin will start flying directly from Landvetter to Sankt Gallen in Switzerland for direct transfers to the nearby ski resorts of St. Anton and Ischgl during the winter season. The Alpresebyrån is also offering weekend trips from Gothenburg for the first time.

This winter, for the first time, you can fly directly to St. Gallen in Switzerland with the alpine tour operator Lion Alpin, for smooth direct transfer to the Austrian Tyrol and the ski resorts of St. Anton and Ischgl, just under 1.5 hours to St. Anton and 2 hours to Ischgl.

Lion Alpin is also offering weekend trips/short trips from Landvetter for the first time with departures either Saturday-Tuesday or Tuesday-Saturday to St. Anton and Ischgl.

Direct flights from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT) to St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport (ACH) depart weekly between January 22 and March 19, 2022.

Although travel is still heavily affected by the pandemic, demand for air travel has increased, both in the form of scheduled flights and charter flights. The recovery in air travel continues in August and for the second month in a row the number of passengers reaches the highest level since the start of the pandemic. Gothenburg Landvetter Airport had a total of almost 265,000 passengers in August, a decrease of 58 percent compared to August 2019. Compared to August last year, the total increase in passengers was 155 percent.
