The harbor area offers all the best of Gothenburg in one place, outdoors but still protected from the weather – right in the city center. A total of over SEK 80 million is being invested in stages, restaurants and audience facilities ahead of the 2019 season opening.

2019 is the year of music at Liseberg. In addition to renovations for Rondo and new backstage areas for Stora Scenen, a completely new entertainment area – the Harbour Area – will open this summer. A total of SEK 32 million is being invested in the stage, restaurant and audience facilities in the area around Hamnkrogen. Part of the entertainment area will be weatherproofed with large awnings, two new outdoor bars will be added, and the number of seats in the area will be tripled.

– We are creating a new environment that is reminiscent of Nyhavn in Copenhagen, a vibrant atmosphere along the quayside. Where you can have a good bite to eat or just hang out in the area to listen to live music, says Andreas Andersen, CEO of Liseberg.
