Anyone planning to fly from Arlanda in Stockholm during Ascension Day should expect to wait longer than normal to get through security.

”"It is partly busy during the morning, but will ease up later in the morning," says David Karlsson, press officer at Swedavia.

David Karlsson cannot give an exact time for how much longer travelers should expect to wait – more than "45 minutes and up" – but recommends travelers contact their airline.

”Different airlines have different times, and just like us, they have a picture of the situation at the airport.”

The problems with queues at Sweden's largest airport have been going on for months and are due to understaffing, but risk worsening during the long weekend when more people than usual choose to travel.
