Lufthansa's low-cost airline Eurowings is investing in Arlanda and establishing a base with 4-5 aircraft stationed at the airport, according to a press release from state-owned airport company Swedavia.

Ahead of the 2022 summer season, German airline Eurowings plans to launch 20 direct routes from Arlanda to Europe.

However, Eurowings is not new to Arlanda, but has been operating at the airport for several years.

According to Swedavia, the initiative means that in a short time, three new airlines have established their own base at Arlanda.
