German airline giant Lufthansa managed to turn a profit in 2022 after two years in the red. For the full year, the company reported a net profit of 791 million euros, which can be compared with a loss of 2.2 billion euros in 2021 and 6.7 billion euros in 2020 when the pandemic broke out.
However, ahead of the summer season, the company is warning of new bottleneck problems similar to those that occurred last summer in the aviation industry. Lufthansa has therefore launched a campaign to recruit 20,000 new employees, including pilots and technicians.
