The German airline Lufthansa reports higher sales than expected in the first quarter, but finds it difficult to find a credible forecast for the full year, according to the interim report.

Sales more than doubled compared to the same quarter last year and increased to 5.4 billion euros, which can be compared to analysts' prior expectations of 5.2 billion euros.

The adjusted net result amounted to -584 million euros, compared to expectations of -481 million euros.

Regarding forecasts, Lufthansa states that forward visibility is currently low due to inflation and the war in Ukraine.
