German airline Lufthansa expects demand for air travel to continue to be strong during the remaining months of the year.

Lufthansa writes this in its interim report for January-September, where the company also reiterates its full-year financial forecast.

”"The cabin factor for bookings in November and December is well above the levels recorded in the same period last year. Demand is still high, especially in the premium classes, i.e. in Business Class and First Class," writes Lufthansa.

The airline plans to increase capacity in the fourth quarter and for the full year 2024, Lufthansa expects to have capacity of approximately 91 percent compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Lufthansa reported an operating profit of 1.3 billion euros for the third quarter, following what it described as a strong summer travel season. Revenue reached a record 10.7 billion euros, according to the airline.
