Lufthansa increased passenger numbers in December

Lufthansa increased the number of passengers by 6.9 percent to 9.9 million in December, compared to the same month the previous year.

The previous month, growth was 6.0 percent.

Measured in revenue passenger kilometers (RPK), the airline's traffic increased by 10.6 percent during the month. The previous month, growth was 8.6 percent.

Capacity, measured as ASK, increased by 11.0 percent during the month. The previous month, growth was 8.1 percent.

The cabin factor was 78.5 percent during the month. The previous month, the cabin factor was 78.1 percent.

For the whole of 2018, Lufthansa had 142 million passengers, which was a new record. In addition, the cabin factor was also at a record high, Lufthansa notes.
