Lufthansa: Not interested in buying Thomas Cook

Lufthansa has no plans to buy British travel giant Thomas Cook, which has been forced into bankruptcy, the airline told German newspaper Die Welt on Monday.

However, Lufthansa is not ruling out a bid for Thomas Cook's German subsidiary Condor, Reuters reports. Back in May, Lufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr expressed interest in buying into Condor, but that plan was put on hold when Chinese Fosun bought into Thomas Cook.
