German airline giant Lufthansa has been forced to cancel hundreds of flights on Monday and Tuesday as pilots and cabin crew go on strike. The dispute between unions and employers concerns, among other things, salaries and occupational pensions.
Now the Turkish news agency reports Anadolu Agency that the pilots will be taken out on strike on Thursday and Friday as well. ”"The situation is unchanged – there has been no movement whatsoever from the employers"”, says Andreas Pinheiro, leader of the pilot union VC.
