Lufthansa's Swiss subsidiary Swiss International is threatening to go on strike in the middle of next month because management is not sufficiently addressing the demands of the union, according to Tages-Anzeiger.
Union members will vote on the next step on October 16. There has not been a collective agreement in place since April 1 as the parties have not reached an agreement.
Swiss has commented on the information in a press release and pointed out that it has added 60 million Swiss francs to its offer, which means that the pilots' salaries will be increased by 3,000-9,000 francs depending on how senior they are.
Lufthansa has recently avoided a strike in Germany.
