Europe's largest airline, Germany's Lufthansa, is introducing a new fee of up to 72 euros (equivalent to just over 800 SEK) to cover rising costs for fuels that produce lower emissions.

From January 1, 2025, the fee will be applied to all departures from EU countries such as Sweden, but also if you fly with Lufthansa from the UK, Norway and Switzerland.

The level of the fee will be determined by the flight route in question.
