Several users worldwide experienced problems when trying to use the Facebook-owned apps Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, on Wednesday evening.
What caused the problem is unclear, but according to Facebook, it is not due to any overload attack.
”We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” the company announced on Twitter.
Over two billion people use the internet giant's services. Primarily users in North America and Europe seem to have been affected, according to AFP.
