Malin Odéhn takes up the role of District Director for Scandic Hotels Sweden. She has held several different roles within the company in recent years and most recently came from the position of Hotel Director at the newly opened Scandic Göteborg Central. In her new role, she will be responsible for the company's 14 hotels in southern Sweden. Malin starts her position on August 28 and will also take a place in Scandic Sweden's management team.
Malin is a well-known profile in the hospitality industry, an industry she has worked in for 14 years. At Scandic, she started as a receptionist at Scandic Mölndal and then took on the role of hotel manager at Scandic Rubinen and has since had an exciting development journey with several different roles, including Area Business Controller and Hotel Manager at Scandic Europa. She most recently came from the position of Hotel Director for Scandic Göteborg Central, which opened on June 12, 2022. In her new role, Malin will be responsible for the operation of all Scandic hotels in southern Sweden, 14 hotels with strong offers for families with children, business travelers and conference participants and with an extra focus on meeting and event opportunities.

Malin has a Master's degree in Economics with a focus on marketing from the Gothenburg School of Economics and also holds a project management degree with success from running larger projects in fitness and health.
