Dozens of Chinese tourists may be trapped in a boat 40 meters below the surface of the water off Phuket, Thailand, according to the island's governor.
“I assume they are trapped in the boat… I hope some of them have survived,” says Noraphat Plodthing.
56 people are missing from the boat Phoenix, which capsized late Thursday in stormy weather with waves up to five meters high. One person has been confirmed dead after the accident and dozens have been rescued.
