Now the American travel magazine presents Travel + Leisure The world's 100 best new hotels and among the awarded destinations is Sweden's Maryhill Estate. The annual guide, It List, highlights the most groundbreaking hotel openings worldwide and only three hotels from across the Nordic region have made the coveted list for 2025. Maryhill Estate, located in Skåne, is one of them.
Six continents, 44 countries and over 200 hotels evaluated by Travel + Leisure editors and travel journalists. The carefully compiled list, It List, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, presents the 100 best newly opened hotels worldwide. Maryhill Estate is now the first destination within the ESS Group hotel family to earn a place on the prestigious list and, together with Stockholm Stadshotell and Wood Hotel Bodø, is the only Nordic destination on the list for 2025.

It List 2025 divides the winners into six categories, with Maryhill Estate receiving a placement in the ”Affordable Luxury” category. Since its opening on November 18, 2024, several international players have drawn attention to the Skåne destination: from Pursuitist to VOGUE Scandinavia, and interest in Maryhill Estate is steadily increasing.
