American Airlines estimates that the costs associated with parking the crashed Boeing 737 Max aircraft will cost the company $350 million before taxes in 2019. 

This is stated in the company's report for the first quarter. SEK 350 million corresponds to approximately SEK 3.3 billion. 

The cost is linked to the airline being forced to cancel a total of 1,200 flights during the quarter due to problems with the aircraft model. Due to the one-time costs, the profit forecast for the year is also being lowered and the company expects an adjusted operating profit of 4-6 dollars per share, compared to the previous forecast of between 5.50-7.50 dollars per share.

The stock fell 2.7 percent in US pre-market trading.
