When Michael Lundin now steps in as director at Radisson Blu Metropol in Helsingborg, he states:
– We are not only committed to being the best in Helsingborg, but we will be at the top of Sweden in terms of guest satisfaction.
I think both the hotel and Helsingborg deserve that. To get there, experience and good teamwork are required. And if there is one thing Michael Lundin has, it is experience in building successful teams from several of the country's best hotels and restaurants. A career that has almost 25 years started when he accidentally jumped behind a bar one evening and was given "two mojitos" as his first order. Completely inexperienced, he solved it by offering a large strong or rum & cola instead. The experience made him get stuck in the service profession.
Speaking of innovative…
The list of achievements has grown since that evening. It includes work as a hotel director at Nordic Choice, at Kosta Boda Art Hotel and in recent years as Operations Manager at Melanders Group and the F12 group in Stockholm.
All those years have taught him, he now wants to plant in the Radisson Blu Metropol on Söder in Helsingborg.
When the hotel opened in 2015, it was expected to be a catalyst in the area. And so it was.
– It gives us a lot to build on. It is with great pleasure that I now see that the investments around Radisson Blu, especially restaurant establishments, are exploding. Several of Sweden's most innovative restaurants are located here, says Michael Lundin.
He believes that it contributes to the upliftment of the entire district. In the same way that he sees other hotel and congress establishments in the city as an asset. In his eyes, it makes Helsingborg more of a destination during all seasons, where Radisson Blu Metropol becomes a natural hub.
