Gotlandsbolaget reports an adjusted operating result of -193 million SEK for the first quarter (-177). This is according to the interim report.

Revenue increased to SEK 622 million (609), which the shipping company attributes to higher sales for Go Nordic Cruiseline.

According to CEO Björn Nilsson, Gotland traffic, which is part of the company Destination Gotland, is in line with last year, even though traffic was affected by severe storms and a number of cancelled departures in connection with the New Year's holiday. However, the quarter ended with a slight increase in passengers, which partly compensated for the decline at the beginning of the year.

Regarding developments in the Middle East, Björn Nilsson writes that the company has been able to mitigate the impact of higher fuel prices using bunker hedging. However, if the conflict becomes prolonged, it poses a risk, according to the CEO.
