Monica Lingegård, CEO of SJ AB, was elected as the new chairwoman of the Swedish Rail Companies at the annual meeting on May 30. The issues in focus now are getting the process around the train timetable work in order, increasing capacity in the railway network and continuing to work with the reforms that the Swedish Rail Companies have developed to get more people and more goods on the railways.
"Our first issue will be to focus on getting the train schedule process in order and balance in the agreements between the Swedish Transport Administration as the supplier and the train companies," says Monica Lingegård.
Monica Lingegård takes over from Ted Söderholm, who has led the board of Tågföretagen since 2020.
