One woman died and four were injured when a monster wave hit a cruise ship last week, reports CNN.

The passengers on the ship Viking Polaris were on a cruise to Antarctica when a severe storm blew up off Argentina.

The storm caused a so-called monster wave that shattered several of the ship's windows. The shattered glass hit an American woman who died. Four people have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

”"It is with great sadness that we confirm that a woman has died as a result of the incident," writes Viking Cruises.
