The number of bankruptcies continues to be at its highest level in ten years. During the first eight months of the year, bankruptcies increased by 35 percent.

Nearly 500 restaurant and hotel companies have gone bankrupt so far this year.

The new figures come from the credit information company UC.

Autumn is feared to be the worst ever as the economy gets tougher and people prioritize restaurant visits.

The construction industry is also in crisis. There are now fears of a wave of bankruptcies that could affect over 1,400 companies.
