Environmental investments of three billion mean that ticket prices will be increased for Gotland residents and freight.

Destination Gotland claims that the increases are necessary to reach the goal in the new climate law, where domestic traffic must reduce its CO2 emissions by 70% by 2030.

A normal adult ticket is increased by 15%.

 – We understand that both travelers and freight operators are feeling the price adjustments and we hope for understanding that the investments are needed to cope with the climate transition and work for sustainable Gotland traffic. We cannot afford not to invest in the climate and we hope that everyone is on the journey towards climate-neutral ferry traffic to and from Gotland, says Christer Bruzelius in a press release.
