The Norwegian airline group Norwegian Air Shuttle, which includes Norwegian and Widerøe, had a total of just over 2.5 million passengers in May.
This is evident from the company's traffic report.
For Norwegian alone, the number of passengers amounted to approximately 2.18 million, an increase of 2 percent. The cabin factor for Norwegian increased by 1.5 percentage points in May while capacity was up 3 percent. The actual passenger traffic figure, RPK, for Norwegian increased by 5 percent.
”"The booking trend for the summer months remains strong, with around 300,000 more seats sold than during the same period last year," writes the company's CEO Geir Karlsen in a comment.
