During the first four weeks of July, the number of hotel rooms sold in Sweden increased by 3.1 percent compared to the same period last year. Compared to July 2019, before the pandemic, the number of rooms sold increased by 7.8 percent.

This is evident from statistics from Visita.

”"It is very pleasing that private demand in the hotel market is showing resilience to high inflation and rising interest rates. Foreign tourists from our surrounding areas have found their way back to Sweden and are exceeding pre-pandemic levels, which is contributing to an increase in demand for the number of rooms," says Thomas Jakobsson, Chief Economist at Visita, in a comment.
