The crisis-stricken airline Norwegian's two subsidiaries for pilots and cabin crew in Norway, with a total of approximately 1,400 employees, have applied for reconstruction.

Parent company Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has been in a restructuring process that is progressing according to plan, according to Norwegian. Restructuring processes are also underway in Ireland, where Norwegian recently had its bankruptcy protection extended by 50 days.

According to Norwegian, which is set to present its financial report on Friday, the ongoing operations are not affected by the reconstructions.
