2.2 million passengers flew with Norwegian low-cost airline Norwegian in July, the highest number since the pandemic began. The load factor was close to 95 percent, the highest in many years.

”This has been a good summer for Norwegian. We had the highest load factor in many years in July, and we operated almost all flights despite many and major challenges for air traffic in Europe. I am very impressed by my colleagues and their commitment to customers. It has been crucial that we have been able to deliver such good results this summer,” says Geir Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian.

Punctuality, which is a measure of the number of departures that occur within 15 minutes of the normal time, was 62.2 percent in July. Nevertheless, 93 percent of all flights landed on time or up to an hour later. In July, Norwegian had an average of 70 aircraft in operation and 99.7 percent of scheduled flights were operated.

Capacity, ASK, was twice as high as a year earlier and 14 percent higher than in June.
