
A total of 1.9 million passengers traveled with the airline SAS in April, an increase of 22 percent compared to the same month last year.
The so-called cabin factor, which is a measure of how well-filled the aircraft are, amounted to 75.8 percent in April, an increase of 4.5 percentage points compared to April last year.
The number of passenger kilometers (RPK) increased by 27.5 percent and capacity (ASK) increased by 20.0 percent.
”"SAS continues to see a positive development in passenger demand. In April, 1.9 million passengers traveled with SAS, an increase of 22 percent compared to the same month last year. We continue to prepare for an active summer season," says SAS CEO Anko van der Werff in a comment.
SAS has recently opened two new intercontinental routes – one between Aalborg and New York and one from Gothenburg to New York. A new route between Copenhagen and Bangkok will also open this autumn.
