The easing of coronavirus restrictions saw the number of foreign tourists in Spain increase almost tenfold in June compared to the same month last year. But tourism is still significantly lower than normal, official statistics show.

During the month, 2.2 million foreign tourists visited Spain and they spent a total of 2.4 billion euros, almost 25 billion kronor, in the country. This can be compared to June 2019 when the number of foreign tourists was 8.8 million.
