Hotel room prices in Sweden rose by 6 per cent in April compared to the same period in 2025. This happened at the same time as the number of occupied hotel rooms increased by just over 7 per cent, according to new statistics from Benchmarking Alliance.

”In essence, the outcome is characterised by increased demand, higher occupancy rates, and a greater willingness to pay. One explanation is that the increase primarily occurred on weekdays when business travellers dominate and prices are higher, says Thomas Jakobsson, chief economist at Visita, in a press release.

The booking situation for the summer simultaneously indicates that demand will remain high. The figures show a 7 per cent higher booking situation than at the same point last year.
