Summer 2025 was a strong period for Tallink Grupp. Nearly two million passengers travelled on the shipping company's vessels between June and August, an increase of just over five percent compared to the same period last year.

Nearly 700,000 passengers travelled on routes to and from Sweden this summer. On the Sweden–Finland route, travel remained stable, once again exceeding half a million passengers. On the Sweden–Estonia route, the number of travellers amounted to approximately 187,000, which is a lower level than last year, mainly due to only one vessel operating this year compared to two in the summer of 2024. A clear increase was noted on the Estonia–Finland route, where the number of passengers rose by approximately 15 percent to nearly 1.3 million, thanks to three vessels in operation compared to two last summer.

Summer is traditionally our peak season, and we are pleased with the results over these three months. Passenger numbers increased or remained stable on all major routes. Furthermore, we offered several special cruises and achieved strong results thanks to smart route planning, says Paavo Nõgene, CEO of Tallink Grupp.

The number of passenger cars transported during the summer months rose to approximately 283,000, an increase of just over 5,000 compared to the same period last year. Freight volumes decreased by approximately 11 percent, a development that reflects the economic uncertainty in several of the company's most important markets.

– Passengers' trust has enabled us to remain the market leader in the Baltic Sea region. We are heading into autumn with optimism, as a wide entertainment programme and new culinary experiences in our ships' restaurants give travellers good reason to return. At the same time, we need to adapt our operations to market expectations to remain a stable dividend stock for our shareholders, adds Nõgene.

The autumn season begins with Italian Weeks onboard the cruise line's ships, offering a taste of Italy at sea. The entertainment calendar includes several cruises with artist performances, and the newly introduced Menu Nordic highlights dishes created by top chefs from different parts of Estonia.

Tallink Grupp will publish its interim report, including financial results for the third quarter and the period January–September 2025, on October 23rd.

According to the press release.
