In May 2026, travelers will have the chance to experience Alaska for the first time with MSC Cruises. Ahead of the premiere of the new route, the ship MSC Poesia will undergo an extensive upgrade with the exclusive MSC Yacht Club, new restaurants and improved facilities – an initiative that will take MSC Cruises’ cruises to a new level.

MSC Poesia will cruise to some of the region’s most spectacular destinations, from the snow-capped mountains of Juneau and the rich cultural heritage of Ketchikan to the glaciers of Tracy Arm. The itinerary also includes Icy Strait Point and Victoria in Canada, offering travelers a unique combination of wilderness, wildlife and cultural experiences.

Meanwhile, a whole new level of comfort awaits on board. The award-winning MSC Yacht Club concept is now introduced on MSC Poesia – a so-called ”ship within a ship” with 63 elegant suites, private sundeck with bar and jacuzzis, exclusive restaurant, lounge and 24-hour butler service.

Yacht Club on MSC Poesia:
• 63 elegant suites in five categories – including the Royal Suite with private jacuzzi, terrace and outdoor shower and the Grand Suite with spacious balcony.
• Private sundeck with grill and bar, cabanas, sun loungers and two jacuzzis.
• Exclusive restaurant with sommelier and 24-hour service.
• Top Sail Lounge – a bright lounge with panoramic windows, bar and live entertainment.

In addition to the MSC Yacht Club, several new dining and entertainment experiences are being launched: the American steakhouse restaurant Butcher's Cut, the All-Stars Sports Bar and a revamped Kaito Sushi Bar. The Aurea Spa and the Gym Powered by Technogym® fitness center are also receiving extensive upgrades with new wellness offerings and more modern equipment.

After the summer season in Alaska in 2026, MSC Poesia will continue to the Caribbean and Central America, followed by unique Grand Voyage sailings between Seattle and Miami through the Panama Canal.

According to the press release.
