New smoke and mud rose from the volcano on White Island in New Zealand on Wednesday, making it too dangerous for rescue workers to approach, the AP reports.
Six people have been confirmed dead so far since the eruption two days ago. More than 30 have been injured, 25 of them critically. Many have severe burns.
The bodies of eight missing people are believed to be found among the ash on the volcanic island.
