The Grönklittsgruppen board has appointed John Strand as CEO of the Grönklittsgruppen.

The recruitment of John Strand concludes the period with an interim solution under the leadership of Anders Blomquist. John Strand is 47 years old and is currently CEO of Merresor AB. He will take up the position as CEO and President of the Grönklittsgruppen in mid-January 2019.

– In his previous activities, John has demonstrated the ability to profitably run and develop businesses, something that Grönklittsgruppen will now benefit from. His many years of experience in public procurement and government contacts are also valuable, says Jan Friedman, Chairman of the Board of Grönklittsgruppen.

– With John Strand as CEO, we get a leader with stated ambitions to build an even larger company in the hospitality industry, continues Jan Friedman.

High on the agenda is the continued refinement of Orsa Grönklitt as a destination and developing and consolidating Svenska Campingpärlor as the leading chain in camping.

– I am really looking forward to the opportunity to lead such an interesting and exciting group as Grönklittsgruppen. Together with the employees, I want to continue the work of creating a strategy for profitable growth, says John Strand.

The Grönklittsgruppen owes Anders Blomquist a warm thank you for his valuable contributions and important imprint on the future. Anders will remain as acting CEO until John takes up his position in mid-January 2019.
