Stromma will sell and market GMÅAB's guided boat excursion between Stockholm and Mariefred with the steamship Mariefred in its canals.

The steamship Mariefred has been in service on the Stockholm-Mariefred route annually since 1903 and thus has a unique history. Today, the trip is a full-day excursion with a guide and a visit to Mariefred and/or Gripsholm Castle. On board there are both passenger rooms and a restaurant in period-typical, carefully renovated salons.

The tour will continue to be run under the auspices of GMÅAB but will also be sold and marketed under Stromma's brand Strömma Kanalbolaget, where a large part of the cruises are based on cultural and historical experiences.

– The purpose of the collaboration is for us to strengthen each other, says Peter Henricson, Business Area Manager, Stromma Sweden. Through Stromma's sales and marketing channels, GMÅAB reaches a broader and hopefully new target group, while Strömma Kanalbolaget strengthens its offering with this historically unique tour. It is simply a win-win situation.

This year's cruises between Stockholm and Mariefred start on June 2, the last trip for the season is on September 2. The cruise will be sold and marketed in Stromma's channels under the name Mälarkryssning till Mariefred.
