A wider commercial offering, more seating and a better passenger experience. These are some of the positive effects of the renewed restaurant and service offering at Malmö Airport.
The commercial offering at Malmö Airport has been expanded with five new units and the airport has also been painted and refreshed in several places in the terminal.
– There has been a facelift for the airport. A clear feeling of refreshment. We have taken several measures to enhance the traveler experience, such as painting, installing wooden panels and with the newly opened units, more seating areas were also added. It was a lift and we have received positive feedback from travelers, which feels very nice, says Karin Öhrström, Airport Manager at Malmö Airport.
Two of the new units that have opened at Malmö Airport are MMX Fika & Kiosk and MMX Bistro & Bar. At MMX Fika & Kiosk, lighter food and coffee are offered, and at MMX Bistro & Bar, travelers can enjoy a pleasant restaurant experience in a relaxed environment.
– We have listened to the different wishes of travelers, such as being able to sit down and eat, but also having a grab n go selection to take with you on your trip. This is positive for both the airport and the travelers, says Charlotte Ljunggren, Chief Commercial Officer at Swedavia.
– Our goal with the new commercial strategy is to make shopping, food and drink part of the experience for those who are going out and traveling. There should be a varied selection of restaurants that will suit many different needs. Swedavia's new commercial strategy prioritizes getting the right mix with a variety in product range, price categories and brands, says Charlotte Ljunggren.
Malmö Duty Free and Espresso House have previously been available at Malmö Airport, and together with the five new units, both the range and price range at the airport became broader.
On December 6, Swedavia will celebrate the new offering at Malmö Airport with ribbon cuttings and tastings at the airport.

MMX Coffee & Kiosk
MMX Fika & Kiosk offers food and coffee with delicious pastries and quality coffee. There is also a kiosk selection.
MMX Bistro & Bar
MMX Bistro & Bar offers a pleasant dining experience in a relaxed environment. It serves food with both international and local influences, catering for all day long from early breakfast to late dinner.
WHSmith
WHSmith has a kiosk offering hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks and a wide selection of newspapers, magazines and books for those who want something to read during their flight.
FOREX
Forex is the Nordic market leader in travel currency. In addition to travel currency, they also offer travel insurance, payment brokerage, cash service, and debit and credit cards.
Homeowner
Husman offers lunch with a special focus on Swedish home cooking such as meatballs and raggmunk with fried pork. They also have an inviting salad buffet as well as sandwiches and pastries. Husman also offers take away.
