There are now direct flights between Copenhagen and Nuuk. Air Greenland has opened the first route between Copenhagen Airport and Greenland's capital.
“The new airport makes it possible to travel directly from Copenhagen to Nuuk, which works well as a starting point for adventurous experiences in magnificent nature. I am sure that the new route will benefit tourism in Greenland – just as it will also make it easy and convenient to travel from Greenland to Denmark with Air Greenland's state-of-the-art aircraft – and further out into the world from Copenhagen Airport,” says Peter Krogsgaard.
Air Greenland flies between Copenhagen and Nuuk five times a week, using its Airbus A330-800neo on the route. The aircraft, named Tuukkaq, which means harpoon tip in Greenlandic, is a neo version, which is the most modern version of this aircraft type. There is room for 305 passengers on board, divided into 42 business/premium seats and 263 economy seats.
