For the first time in 15 years, Disney is opening a brand new theme park. The new park will be built on an artificial island outside Abu Dhabi and is expected to be the most technologically advanced park ever.
Roller coasters, magnificent environments and photo opportunities with your favorite princess, Star Wars character, Marvel hero or the world's most famous mouse. For those who like theme parks, or the great amusement wonders of our time, there is much that attracts people to Disney's theme parks.
According to Disney's own calculations, there are ten people who want to visit one of their parks for every guest they actually attract inside the gates. And yet 140 million people visited a Disney park in 2023.
“One of the biggest reasons they don’t do it – everyone immediately thinks it’s about cost. It’s not. It’s about access. It’s a long journey to get to us for a lot of people,” Disney CEO Bob Iger told The New York Times.
