The company Yogastudion Umeå is expanding its products and investing internationally.

Through the new health trend "Forest Bathing" or "Forest Bathing", the company aims to attract foreign tourists to the village of Granö in Västerbotten.

– ”Forest bathing is an expression that comes from Japan and where people visit the forest and nature for health reasons. The trend is big in the USA and is spreading all over the world,” says founder of Yogastudion Umeå Maria Bergmark.

In March, Yogastudion Umeå, under the name Yogaretreats Norrland, will be organizing its first retreat in English. The theme is ”Forest Bathing and Yin Yoga” and the location is Granö Beckasin, a residential facility in the village of Granö, in Västerbotten. Guests will spend a few days doing yoga and mindfulness exercises in nature.

– ”Mindfulness in nature is probably the easiest thing to describe it as. That the guests should get a break from everyday life and become more ”here and now” and recover in the forest,” continues Maria Bergmark.
