New members to Visit Sweden's board

Jenny Lahrin, Mats Hedenström and Mattias Dahl join the board of Visit Sweden. Visit Sweden is owned equally by the state and the Swedish tourism industry and is tasked with marketing the destination Sweden internationally.

At the annual general meeting of Visit Sweden, three new members were elected. 

Jenny Lahrin will take up the position as the new company administrator on behalf of the state, replacing previous company administrator Kristina Ekengren. 

As representatives of the owner, the hospitality industry, Mats Hedenström, head of business policy at Svensk Handel, and Mattias Dahl, CEO of Transportföretagen, were elected to the board. 

On the board for the financial year until the 2020 Annual General Meeting, the owner, the state, via the Ministry of Enterprise, Industry and Energy, is thus represented by four members, and the owner, the tourism industry, via Svensk Turism AB, by four. All members of the board are regular and no deputies are appointed for the financial year. 

Karin Johansson, CEO of Svensk Handel, will continue as Chair of the Board during the coming financial year. 

Since 1995, Visit Sweden has been owned half by the state via the Ministry of Enterprise, Innovation and Technology and half by the tourism industry via Svensk Turism AB.
