A new night train connection from Malmö to Basel in Switzerland will start in April next year.

There will be three departures a week in both directions all year round, the Swiss Tourist Board writes in a press release. The initiative is being made with the support of the Swiss Federal Assembly and the service will be operated by the Swiss train company SBB in collaboration with the German RDC Germany.

The train can accommodate approximately 350 passengers in sleeping, couchette and lounge cars and also has a bistro.
