The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has identified a new potential risk that must be addressed before Boeing's 737 MAX can fly again, sources at the agency told Reuters.
The problem was identified during a simulation conducted last week. A test flight to get the aircraft recertified will not be possible until July 8 at the earliest, according to the news agency's sources.
Boeing themselves state that they are "working closely with the FAA" to ensure that the accident-stricken model can safely return to service.
Boeing traded up 1.6 percent on Wednesday evening. In early after-hours trading, the stock is trading slightly down, minus 0.1 percent.
