NextJet has notified the Swedish Transport Administration that the company no longer intends to fly the Arvidsjaur – Stockholm-Arlanda route on commercial grounds in accordance with the current traffic obligation.

NextJet has operated Arvidsjaur without any compensation from the Swedish Transport Administration since 2011. The company now assesses that it cannot continue to fly the route without compensation.

NextJet intends to fly until the end of May to give the Swedish Transport Administration the opportunity to carry out a short-term procurement and thus avoid a disruption in traffic.

NextJet intends to submit a bid in this procurement.

NextJet operates Arvidsjaur – Stockholm-Arlanda with up to three departures per
weekdays and two on Sundays, with BAe ATP.

The majority of departures are operated via Lycksele. Traffic on the Lycksele – Arlanda route is not affected by the new procurement of flights to and from Arvidsjaur.
